We want our customers to be aware of a recent security incident affecting Salesloft. This incident involved unauthorized access to customer Salesforce data through Salesloft’s Drift application. LiveRamp was among the many organizations impacted.
Upon learning of the incident, LiveRamp immediately disconnected the application from our systems and initiated a comprehensive investigation to assess any potential impact. Drift will not be re-installed and we will replace the functionality in the future with a different solution.
Based on our investigation, the incident was isolated to the Drift application, and the data involved business contact information and basic customer support case information. It is important to note that our investigation currently shows no exfiltration of authentication keys or other sensitive data as part of this incident, and we are confident that our products, systems, and services were not affected and remain secure.
While we assess the overall risk from this incident to be low, we take the security and privacy of our customers very seriously and have implemented continuous monitoring of our systems as a precautionary measure.
