LiveRamp for Developers – Summer 2021

July 13th to August 17th, 2021

If you’re tuning in, join the conversation at #LiveRampforDevs

New offerings for developers, engineers, product managers, and data scientists!

LiveRamp for Developers is an opportunity to get an in-depth understanding of the technology that powers LiveRamp. Following up from last year’s RampUp for Developers, this year’s focus is on APIs and the soon-to-be launched Developer Portal—a central location for technical resources and tools, including applications, APIs, corresponding documentation, and guides—that will allow users (customers and partners) to utilize different parts of the LiveRamp platform in a programmatic manner to suit their individual needs.

In addition, we’re following up on last fall’s Data Science track with a focus on LiveRamp Safe Haven, and recently acquired DataFleets, a company offering advanced data protection solutions. These solutions, alone or in specialized combinations, remove barriers to data analytics and modeling while maintaining support for international privacy regulations.

LiveRamp for Developers (Summer 2021) Sessions Overview:

1.      July 13, 12:00 pm PT: LiveRamp for Developers: Developer Portal and API Introductions

Randall Grilli – Senior Technology Marketing Manager

Get an update on our API strategy and upcoming releases, an overview of the LiveRamp Developer Portal, as well as the APIs now available for use.

2.     July 14, 1:30 pm PT: LiveRamp for Developers: Data Science: Building Effective Data Collaborations

David Gilmore – Head of Privacy Tech Solutions

Nick Elledge – Head of Operations, Privacy Tech Solutions

Isaac Hales, Senior Product Manager, Privacy Tech Solutions

DataFleets makes new data collaboration possible through the combination of two capabilities: distributed and federated analytics, in which data does not move from edges, silos, robust privacy, and security controls. To enable this, DataFleets implemented technologies such as differential privacy, federated learning, and secure multi-party computation (SMPC).

DataFleets implemented these at scale to power a large COVID-19 patient data exchange. In this session, join DataFleets’ CEO and Co-founder David Gilmore and COO and Co-founder Nick Elledge as we dig into their technology and discuss our integrated road map for providing flexible options for privacy and distributed data collaboration.

In the following individual API-focused sections, we’ll provide an overview of the API documentation, share how to get started utilizing APIs, share common use cases and real-world examples, and provide an opportunity to get your questions answered by LiveRamp’s product teams.

3.     July 20, 12:00 pm PT: LiveRamp for Developers: Identity: AbiliTec API

Kevin Wei – Identity Product Manager

Adam Isom – Engineering Manager, Identity Resolution Services

The LiveRamp AbiliTec API is a secure REST API that allows clients to send Directly Identifiable Data (“DID”)  entities, such as email address, name, postal address, etc., to LiveRamp’s graph in real time to match to an AbiliTec link and retrieve metadata on how a match was generated. These links and flags can be stored within the customer record and used to join or deduplicate DID-based data sets to a person, household, or other resolution identifier for use in CRM, business intelligence, or marketing use cases across the enterprise.

4.      July 27, 12:00 pm PT: LiveRamp for Developers: Identity: Retrieval API

Kevin Wei – Identity Product Manager

Adam Isom – Engineering Manager, Identity Resolution Services

The LiveRamp Retrieval API is a secure REST API that allows clients to send Directly Identifiable Data (“DID”) entities , such as email address, name, postal address, etc., to LiveRamp’s graph in real time to match to a RampID. RampIDs are LiveRamp’s pseudonymous identifier, which can be used for online targeting, measurement, analytics, and enrichment with third-party data sets. The API can also perform transcoding between ID spaces and decrypt envelopes to RampIDs as permissioned for your client’s role.

5.      August 3, 12:00 pm PT: LiveRamp for Developers: Activation API

Mihir Parikh – Senior Product Manager, Activation

Mike Gillett – Tech Lead, B2C Activations

The Activation API offers programmatic access to LiveRamp’s onboarding solutions. The API provides programmatic delivery to all destinations and the ability to retrieve segment delivery statuses. Users are able to activate Directly Identifiable Data and device-based segment data on popular platforms so they can reach audiences on every screen.

6.      August 10, 12:00 pm PT: LiveRamp for Developers: Data Marketplace – Buyer API

Peter Dang – Director, Business Development, Data Marketplace

Jenny Golden – Technical Program Manager for Data Networks

Lake Mossman – Software Engineer for Data Networks

If you’re looking for a segment but don’t have a list of your own, you can obtain a segment for targeting at the Data Marketplace. The Buyer API allows platforms to host these and other third-party segments seamlessly on their own marketplaces. By obtaining segment metadata, you can receive broader and more up-to-date information in near real time about segments in LiveRamp’s Data Marketplace. This can reduce the amount of manual work required, as well as save time by automating third-party data supply workflows.

7.      August 17, 12:00 pm PT: LiveRamp for Developers: Authenticated Traffic Solution (ATS) API

Ian Meyers – Head of Addressability Product

The Authenticated Traffic Solution (ATS) enables publishers and marketers to safely collaborate without the use of third-party cookies or other device identifiers. ATS powers people-based advertising and measurement—in-app as well as on the web and connected television—for some of the world’s largest publishers and brands.

The ATS API and related client-side libraries provide publishers with the ability to safely transform sensitive directly identifiable personal data touch points into encrypted, pseudonymous identity Envelopes for subsequent activations by advertising exchanges.

We’re looking forward to sharing our API strategy as well as providing an opportunity for you to get real-world examples of the uses for our APIs. In addition, we’ll continue to add APIs and tools to the Developer Portal, and will highlight upcoming releases during the overview session.
