For years, LiveRamp has been known as the premier onboarding platform.
When we first started, our mission was simple. Help marketers and the companies that support them connect offline data to the digital ecosystem. But in the past couple of years, “digital” has exploded–from just over 250 platforms in 2011, to over 3,500 in 2016.
Both offline and online, new channels and new mediums produce ever-increasing complexity, requiring more platforms to manage them and decreasing consistency in the customer experience as a result.
Today, with the introduction of our identity resolution service, IdentityLink, we’re building on our core competency and taking the next step in solving one of the industry’s biggest challenges: creating an omnichannel view of the consumer.
What is IdentityLink?
IdentityLink enables our customers to resolve the hundreds of different identifiers for consumers used on devices, marketing platforms, and in their own internal systems to a real person in a privacy-compliant manner.
It doesn’t matter if data is offline or online, first-party CRM or third party behavioral, online exposure data or mobile app download data—all of it can be tied back to a unique, privacy-safe identifier at the consumer level.
Everyone has some of the pieces, we put them together to create a complete and accurate picture.
This means that brands and the companies that support them can finally achieve an omnichannel view of the customer before they onboard their data. Once they have the complete picture, activating it against the digital marketing platforms of their choice to execute people-based targeting and personalization supports a customer-centric strategy. And resolving feedback from marketing touch points back to an actual person will allow them to both measure campaign performance and continue to enrich their understanding of the consumer.
Now, no matter where or how you want to use the data you and your partners have about consumers, you can bring it together. With an omnichannel view of the customer, everyone wins—including your customers.
So what hasn’t changed?
IdentityLink will still power the onboarding of data anywhere and everywhere, made more powerful by an omnichannel view.
We are still focused on providing the highest deterministic match rates possible across channels. Connect is still our customers’ portal into IdentityLink.
Our commitment to privacy and high-quality data stewardship is still woven into every step of our process. We are still committed to neutrality and connecting the entire digital marketing ecosystem.
We think that by taking the next step from onboarding to identity resolution, IdentityLink will solve the unique challenges marketers and the companies that support them are facing today by giving consumers the best experience possible.
